Welcome to the first match of the Championship league. Two
Indian club teams, Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians were against each other.
Royals won the toss and chose to field first. Starting for the Mumbai Indians
was very bad as they lost quick wickets in Initial stages. D R Smith gone when
the score of the team was 9 runs. But then came the Rohit Sharma and he played
some good shots. Sharma helped Mumbai Indian to reach a score total of 95 runs,
when he got out scoring 43 runs. Then came the Pollard and he also played very
well. Scored 42 runs with 36 balls that he played. Due to the efforts of Karien
Pollard and Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians were able to put up a score of 142
runs. In this scoring they lost 7 wickets and played full 20 over. Now Royals
had to score 143 runs.
From the Royals side, VS Malik proved very lethal and he
took 3 wickets in 4 over.
Batting second royals had much great start and they were
going very well in the direction of chasing this score. SV Samson and AM Rahane
made sure that, team reaches total and both of the scored 54 and 33 runs respectively
before getting out. So finally with 2 balls still to be bowled and 7 wickets in
hand, Royals posted their first win.
Now Royals have 4 points in their hand and Mumbai points have zero. If Mumbai Indians wants to retain the title of IPL, then they have to work hard and win this tournament.
