Pakistan top spinner Danish Kaneria got life ban from ECB in
the year 2012, due to his involvement in the corrupt charges when he was
playing a Pro40 match for Essex against Durham. Another Player Westfield was
also convicted in this case and was given a ban of 5 years. He said that Danish
was a facilitator in the match in which he had to give certain number of runs
in an over.
While Westfield was the major evidence or major witness against
the case of Danish and ECB told him to appear in the court. But he moved on and
he wanted that he should be given chance to play before three. Actually in the
ban of 5 years, he was given relation to play cricket after 3 year ban, but he
wanted this period to be decreased.
On the Kaneria has appealed to the court that he was no
where involved in this case and he doesn’t know anything related to this case.
On the other ECB is part of ICC, so any ban imposed by the
ECB will applicable to whole world cricket. Some allegation were coming hat,
Danish is becoming the victim of somebody’s other planning. Kaneria has also to
pay £100,000 this much amount in the court. The high court has study the case
and has said to hear the plea of Kaneria.
