Adelaide Strikers vs Perth Scorchers Head to Head

Adelaide Strikers (STR) and Perth Scorchers (SCO) teams are the two Big Bash League (BBL) teams created back in the inaugural season of BBL in 2011-12. Both the teams Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers are attacking teams, and both the teams are BBL title-winning teams, and they know how to compete and win the tournament. Both teams comprise of good quality domestic uncapped Australian cricketers as well as overseas cricketers in their side. Perth Scorchers is the most consistent and balanced team of BBL with most BBL title wins.

Both the teams Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers are equally strong and have played 16 matches against each other in BBL history. Adelaide Strikers has managed to win 8 games out of 16, and Perth Scorchers has also had won 8 times. Therefore it will be interesting to see which team is going to take the lead and dominate. The current captain of Adelaide Strikers is Australian left-hand batsman Travis Head. He will lead the team in BBL 2020-21, and the captain of Perth Scorchers is Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh.

Craig Simmons had scored a brilliant century for Perth Scorchers. He had made 102 runs in just 41 balls for Perth Scorchers. He had smashed 8 sixes and 8 fours in his inning. The 2nd league match between Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers was held on January 6, 2015, at Adelaide Oval. Perth Scorchers had batted first and had made 133 runs in 1st inning. Adam Voges had played captains knock and had made not out 54 runs in 36 balls. Yasir Arafat also had made 18 runs in 12 balls and gave a brilliant finish to Scorchers team. Ben Laughlin, Adam Zampa and Shaun Tait bowled brilliantly for Adelaide Strikers and had taken 2 wickets each.  It was a low scoring match, and it was a small target of 134 runs for Strikers to win the match, but Perth Scorchers bowlers bowled brilliantly and managed to defend the target. Only Tim Ludeman can cross the 20 runs mark for the team. He had scored 22 runs most for Adelaide Strikers. Brad Hogg, A Agar, Andrew Tye and Yasir Arafat all had taken 2 wickets each for Perth Scorchers. Adelaide Strikers team got all out on 115 runs in 2nd inning. STR vs SCO Head to Head in Big Bash League 2015-16

Adelaide Strikers team changed their captain in BBL 2015-16, and Brad Hodge was selected as the new captain of Adelaide Strikers while Adam Voges maintained his captaincy for Perth Scorchers. Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers had played 2 league matches against each other in BBL 2015-16. Brad Hodge maintained his captaincy for Adelaide Strikers, and Adam Voges had maintained his captaincy for Perth Scorchers in BBL 2016-17. Colin Ingram handled the captaincy of Adelaide Strikers team, and Ashton Turner had handled the captaincy of Perth Scorchers in this match. Strikers and Scorchers had played 2 matches against each other in BBL 2017-18. The 1st match was had played on January 13, 2018, at Alice Springs. Adelaide Strikers team had batted first and got all out on just 112 runs in 1st inning. Alex Carry had batted brilliantly and had made most 44 runs in 32 balls for Adelaide Strikers. Ashton Agar bowled brilliantly and had taken 3 wickets. Tim Bresnan and M Kelly also had taken 2 wickets each for Scorchers. The host Perth Scorchers will try to defeat Adelaide Strikers at home and will try to take revenge of the defeat they had faced in the last season from Adelaide Strikers. The 2nd league match between Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers of BBL 2020-21 will be held on December 31, 2020, at Adelaide Oval. Adelaide Strikers will try to maintain their winning streak against Perth Scorchers.
