Mitchell Marsh was appointed as the new captain of Perth Scorchers while Tom Cooper was appointed as captain of Melbourne Renegades in BBL 2018-19. The 2nd time both the team had played against each other in BBL 2019-20 was on January 7, 2020, at Geelong. Melbourne Renegades had batted first and had made 175 runs in 1st inning. S Harper had scored most 73 runs in 46 balls for Renegades. B Webster also had made 59 runs and finished the inning for Renegades. J Richardson had bowled brilliantly for Scorchers and had taken 3 wickets. Perth Scorchers openers Inglis and Liam Livingstone gave a brilliant start to the team and had made an opening partnership of 102 runs to Scorchers. Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers will play 2 league games against each other in BBL 2020-21. Aaron Finch will maintain the captaincy of Melbourne Renegades, and Mitchell Marsh will handle the captaincy of Perth Scorchers. Aaron Finch form is very important for Melbourne Renegades. The 1st league match of BBL 2020-21 between Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers will be held on December 12, Saturday 2020 at Bellerive Oval. The Renegades would like to dominate over the Scorchers and will try to win the game in early of the tournament. The 2nd league match will be held on January 3, Sunday 2021 at WACA Ground, Perth.
