The Ireland cricket team is another international team to have the status of an ICC One Day International Squad, although it has not achieved the status of a test team. The Irish cricket board has started the process of achieving the test recognition for the team. Cricket Ireland is the board responsible for management of cricket in the country. The team got ICC One Day team membership in the year 1993 and qualified for the first time in the 2011 Cricket World Cup. The Irish played its first One Day International in 2006 against England and won their first match against Bangladesh on April 15, 2007 (The first win against a team with full ICC membership).
