The Nehru Stadium, which is also known as Fatorda Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is one of the premier stadiums in the country situated in Margao, in Goa. The stadium was opened in the year 1989 with around 27,300 spectator capacity. It’s to mention her that albeit the Nehru Stadium was initially built as football venue yet it has been continually used to house international cricket games. The stadium hosted its 1st ODI in the year 1989 in between Sri Lanka and Australia. Till then the stadium has been the venue for 7 ODIs. The most recent one was played in the year 2007 between India & Sri Lanka.
