With a decent mix of some Australian young and legendary bloods, Perth Scorchers will be looking for a revenge on the field as they had to surrender in the last two session of CLT20. Scorcher, the winner of the Big Bash, has some new Australian guns in their squad this time. Its time to see, how they take Scorcher up in the competition by mixing experience of Australian veteran and energy of young players this time in Champions League 2014

Skipper: Australian veteran Simon Katich will take responsibility of commander of Scorcher in coming Champion League 2014.

Key Players:
  1. Extraordinary Hogg: Australian spinner Brad Hogg will be on the field with his full experience of leg Spin. He is one of the challenges to play on the turning pitch without any doubt.
  2. Silent Performer Katich: The former Australian captain will be a player to watch for sure. He can take responsibility when the team needs him most. He had a consistent track record. Moreover he is good against spin. This time, he needs to prove that he is good against spin in Indian pitches too.
  3. Impressive Joe Mennie: The tall fast bowler had an impressive record of 5 wickets in 5 matches with just 4 runs overall. He had a good ability to make out-swing that creates troubles for the hitter.

Plus Factor: As maximum players of this team are not so much known by the opponents, it will be difficult for the opponent teams to make and size their strategies against Scorchers. This may provide them an advantage.
Minus Points: Most of the players are not experienced in international arena. In this case Hogg and Katich only qualify. This may cost them in the crucial time of game where experience is needed most to win a match.

Being new and under dog in the CLT20, they will play without any pressure, there are so many potential in this team. They make it to unleash and we expect it from a veteran like Katich. There will be lots of pressure on the shoulder of Katich and Hogg. It’s the time to see how the Aussies make their way through it.
