Russell powers the Knights to a victory against the Titans - The 6th match of the Ram Slam T20 featured Titans and Knights fighting out against each other in the tournament. This match was played at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. This was the 1st time that these two teams were meeting against each other in the tournament. After winning the toss the Titans decided to field first.

The openers Rudi Second and Gerhardt Abrahams gave their team a great start. They scored 59 runs for the 1st wicket in just 6 overs. It was a quick start which provided the momentum to the team. Second after scoring 44 runs lost his wicket and brought in Tumelo Bodibe to the crease for Knights. He after scoring 26 runs lost his wicket in the 13th over when the team had reached a total of 108. Andre Russell had a good partnership with Abrahams and took the team to a total of 163 runs. Abrahams lost his wicket after scoring 41 runs while Russell too lost his wicket at 48 runs which he scored in just 21 balls. As the team lost both the batsmen they already reached a score of 167 in 18th over. With 2 overs to go the middle order looked for quick runs but failed miserably and reached a score of 179 runs only. Darren Sammy took 3 wickets in the match for Titans.

A score of 180 is a difficult one and to win this match Titans needed a good start. They failed to achieve it as they were restricted to 42/2 in 7 overs of the game. Henry Davids lost his wicket after scoring 29 runs which he made of only 18 balls. Dean Elgar the other opening batsman was playing a safe innings and ensured that he remained their till the end but the middle order failed in the match for Titans. Elgar scored 65 runs and remained not out but the team was able to reach a score of only 144 runs in 20 overs thus losing the match by 35 runs.

Andre Russell was named as the Batsman of the match while Darren Sammy was recognised as the bowler of the day. With this win Knights earned 4 points from the game.
