The Big Bash League (BBL) is an Australian T20 cricket league inaugurated in 2011 by the Australian cricket board. Eight city-based franchises teams participate in this tournament. The Big Bash League has replaced the old Australian cricket tournament KFC T20 Big Bash. It is the second most profitable league after IPL. The format of the tournament is dual round-robin and Knockout finals. The Big Bash League matches are organized in Australia during summer that is in December, January, and February. The eight teams which participate in the league are Adelaide Strikers, Sydney Sixers, Melbourne Renegades, Brisbane Heat, Sydney Thunder, Perth Scorchers, Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes. Out of these 8 teams in the league, 6 teams have won the title at least once, but the 2 teams which never won BBL title till now are Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes. Chris Lynn has been the most successful batsman, while Ben Laughlin has proven as the most successful bowler in the league. Lynn has scored most runs (2332) in the league, and Ben Laughlin has taken most wickets (110).
This year's Big Bash League T20 will be played from December 10, 2020 to February 6, 2021. This will be the 10th Edition of BBL T20. Total 8 BBL teams will be participating in BBL 10 2020. Last year in BBL 9, Sydney Sixers won the Big Bash League 2019-20 Final Match by 19 runs against Melbourne Stars. Big Bash League BBL T20 History

BBL 2011 - The first season of BBL was a huge success for Australian cricket. In BBL 2011, the final was played between Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers at Perth. Sydney Sixers had won the game by 7 wickets and also won the first BBL title. Sydney Sixers had become the first champions of the league.

BBL 2012 - After the first BBL season, Big Bash had become much popular not just in Australia but also across the world. The final of BBL 2012 was played between Brisbane Heat and Perth Scorchers at Perth. It was the 2nd BBL final for Perth Scorchers. Brisbane had won the game by 34 runs and won their 1st BBL title.

BBL 2013 - After accepting defeat in 2 consecutive BBL Final match, Perth Scorchers had finally won the title in the 3rd season of BBL. Perth Scorchers had won the final by 39 runs against Hobart Hurricanes.

BBL 2014 - The defending champs of BBL 2014 became the winning champions of BBL 2014. Perth Scorchers had won their 2nd BBL title by defeating Sydney Sixers in the final. Scorchers had won the game by 4 wickets.

BBL 2015 - Sydney Thunder had won the 2015 BBL title by defeating Melbourne Stars. It was the 1st title of Sydney Thunder, and Sydney Thunder was the 4th team which had won the BBL title.

BBL 2016 - Perth Scorchers won their 3rd title in BBL 2016. Perth Scorchers had won the final by 9 wickets against Sydney Sixers.

BBL 2017 - Adelaide Strikers had won the BBL 2017 title by defeating Hobart Hurricanes and became the 5th team to win the BBL title. Adelaide had won the game by 25 runs. It was for the 2nd time that Hobart Hurricanes could not win the final match of BBL.

BBL 20​18 - Melbourne Renegades had won the BBL 2018 season. Melbourne Renegade had defeated Melbourne Stars by 13 runs and became the 6th team to win the BBL title. It was 2nd time that Melbourne Stars failed to win the BBL final.

BBL 2019 - Sydney Sixers had won the BBL 2019 season. Sydney Sixers won the game by 19 runs against Melbourne Stars in the final of BBL. It was the 2nd BBL title for Sydney Sixers. They are the current champions of BBL.
