This is the 6th Qualifying match of Champions
League between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Otago. Otago has already qualified as
they have won their both match. Otago won the toss and choose to field first.
Batting first Sunrisers were restricted by the bowling of NL McCullum. He took top two wickets of Sunrisers PA Patel
and S Dhawan and the whole top order got a bad start. But then JP Duminy came
in and he played some good shots. In just 38 balls he scored 57 runs. So finally
Sunrisers were able to put up a score of 143 runs in front of the Otago team.
Otago team from the very beginning looked very promising and
they started well. A good partnership between HD Rutherford and BB McCullum of
43 runs made sure that they will win this match. DW Steyn from the Sunriser side
took two wickets and bowled 3 over. The impressive batting by McCullum of 69
runs, out of 39 balls is something that made them win this match. He hit five
4s and five 6s. Otago were playing so fast that, in just 16.2 over, they scored
144 runs and with 5 wickets in their hand. So, Otago team won all the matches
of qualifying group.
