The 4th T20I match of India vs England 2021 bilateral series was played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 18 Mar 2021. Jonny Bairstow was playing his 50th T20 international match. Rahul Chahar and Suryakumar Yadav were taken into the playing 11 in place of Yuzvendra Chahal and Ishan Kishan. There were no changes in the England squad. All the eyes were on KL Rahul as he failed in the last three matches for 1, 0, 0. England won the toss and decided to have the ball in hand first. India needed to win that match in order to be in the series, Do or Die situation for India.

Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul were sent to the crease and Adil Rashid got the responsibility of a new ball to open the attack. Jofra Archer again with his pace dominated the Indian opener and took the wicket of Rohit Sharma in 3.4 overs at 21 runs. India suffered a huge loss due to Rohit Sharma's dismissal. Suryakumar Yadav came to join Rahul and tried to handle the situation. India had made 45 runs for 1 wicket at the end of the first Powerplay. India had reached 50 runs in 6.4 overs. But the flop show of KL Rahul was continued and he was sent back by Ben Stokes in 7.4 overs. The Indian team got a real shock when Virat Kohli for 1 was also dismissed by Adil Rashid at 70 runs. The middle-order batsman Rishabh Pant gave some support to Suryakumar Yadav and made 30 valuable runs. Shreyas Iyer struck some rocking shots and made crucial 37 runs from just 18 balls with a 250.00 strike rate that helped the team to put a challenging total of 185 runs on the scoreboard. Suryakumar Yadav completed his first T20I fifty from 28 balls in the very first inning of his 2 T20I careers. Once again, Jofra Archer shined with his bowling performance and took 4 wickets in the match. England got the target of 186 runs to win the match and Ind vs Eng series 2021.

Jason Roy and Jos Buttler came out to the middle to chase the target and Bhuvneshwar Kumar got the new ball in hand. England was unable to get a good start and lost the first wicket of Jos Buttler at 15 runs. Dawid Malan came to join Roy and tried to handle the situation but could not stay longer and was clean bowled by Rahul Chahar in 7.5 overs at 60 runs. Jason Roy was also sent back in the very next over by Hardik Pandya. Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes played well under pressure and made a crucial partnership of 65 runs but that could not help much. After the dismissal of Jonny Bairstow by Chahar, wickets started falling at regular intervals and English batsmen could make only 177 runs and lost the match by 8 runs. India level the series after the win by 2-2. Indian bowlers were impressive, Shardul Thakur took 3 wickets, and Hardik Pandya, Rahul Chahar got 2 wickets each.
