Eoin Morgan plays for English national cricket team but originally belongs to Ireland. The Irish player born in 1986. Eoin has ability to hit the balls for boundaries at the end of the innings and therefore is recognized as a ‘finisher’. He plays cricket for England in all three formats. He originally played the game for his native nation (Ireland) before switching to play for England. He is also very skilled and is well known for playing reverse sweep shots. A left handed batsman plays county cricket for Middlesex. He has also been given the responsibilities to lead English team against his native team in T20s and captained the England team against India for T20s in 2012-13 as well. He is also a good fielder. Morgan’s first taste of ODI match came in 2006 when he represented Ireland against Scotland but unfortunately he was run out just scoring one run before his century and became the only player in ODI history to score 99 in his very first match. But soon enough he had a taste of his first ton in 2007 when he played against Canada. Morgan became the only player who has scored a double century in his first class career when he played a superlative knock of 209(not out) against United Arab Emirates in 2007. He was also included in Ireland’s 15 member squad for 2007 Cricket World Cup. Morgan played total of 23 games for his native team and scored above 700 runs with the bat at an average of 35. Eoin made his Test debut in 2010 when he became the member of England’s squad to play against Bangladesh. He scored valuable 44 runs in the first innings but not required to play in the second. He has played a total of 16 Test matches so far and has added 700 runs in his score card batted with an average of 30 including 2 tons and 3 fifties. His best score in Test format is of 131 that he made against Pakistan in his debut year (2010). He has also played various wonderful knocks that helped his side in winning the matches. When it comes to his ODI career, he made his England debut in 2009 when he was included in 14 man squad against West Indies. The left handed batsman was not given more chances to impress with the bat. He has played nearly 94 games and has scored more than 2500 runs with an average of 40 which also includes 4 crucial tons and 17 half centuries. He played a supreme innings of 125(not out) against Bangladesh in 2010 and this figure was set as his highest ODI score. Morgan made his T20 debut in 2009 ICC World Twenty 20 when he was given a chance to play for England. He played his first match against Netherlands but he couldn’t save his side from being defeated. He also gave his valuable contribution in 2009 ICC Champions Trophy. Morgan enrolled in IPL 2010 and played for RCB but the very next year he was purchased by KKR for the next three seasons of IPL. He has played a total of 35 T20 games for England and has scored more than 800 runs with an average of 36. He has scored 4 half centuries so far which also includes a knock of 85(not out) which is his best score in T20 format. He became the 4th player who has represented 2 nations in the Cricket World Cup when he made his World Cup debut in 2011 against Bangladesh and scored 63 runs.
