In IPL 2020, the 20th match was played between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals on October 7 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium Dubai. MI captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bat first. 

As the opener, Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma started the inning of Mumbai Indians and successfully offered it an excellent start. In the inning, the bowling attack of Rajasthan Royals could not show much impact, and both players made a good score. At the score of 49, MI lost its first wicket in the form of de Kock, who made 23 runs. Soon Sharma also got out at an individual score of 35. However, Suryakumar Yadav displayed his batting skills once again and played a superb inning. Ishan Kishan failed this time, but again Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya played well. At the end of 20 overs, MI successfully scored 193 runs at a loss of 4 wickets. From RR Shreyas Gopal was the most successful bowler who got 2 wickets. MI set a target of 194 for RR to win the match.

In the second inning, openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler started the run chase.  However, the beginning of the inning was not that good as Jaiswal got out at 0 in the first over only. The score of RR was 0/1 in the first over. Captain Steve Smith joined Buttler to balance the inning but failed and got out at an individual score of 6 runs only. Sanju Samson, one of the leading batsmen of the team, also got failed and lost his wicket with an individual score of 0. Hence in the 3rd over, only the score of RR was 12/3, and the pressure was mounted on the rest of the batsmen. Buttler tried well single-handedly but rest all batsmen got failed. Jofra Archer tried to play a good inning and made 24 runs in 11 balls, which gave hope to the RR fans, but soon he also got out. RR lost all its wickets in 18.1 overs only. Buttler made 70 runs in 44 balls. From MI Jasprit Bumrah was the most successful bowler as he got 4 wickets. Suryakumar Yadav was declared as the player of the match for his fantastic inning of not out 79 runs in 47 balls only. Hence, MI got a huge victory over RR by 57 runs. RR will look forward to the coming match with a positive approach.
