Hyderabad emerge victorious in a high scoring match against Rajasthan Royals - The 41st match of the Indian Premiere League was played between the Rajasthan Royals and the Sunrisers Hyderabad. This was a match important for both the teams as Royals had lost their winning habit and were looking to get the win while Hyderabad were looking to climb the ladder as each point from here counts to take a team to top 4. Rajasthan after winning the toss decided to field first.

David Warner has always been a threat to the opposition but today Shane Watson did good to take him away just when he was starting to look dangerous. He lost his wicket after scoring 24 runs in 18 balls. Shikhar Dhawan and Moises Henriques batted well and took the team to a score of 89 runs in 11th over. These two batsmen maintained the run rate. Dhawan scored 54 runs in 35 balls while Henriques scored 20 runs. The team was restricted to 127/3 in 14/.2 overs. It was at this point when IPL witnessed a mammoth hitting as Eoin Morgan scored 63 runs off 28 balls.  He picked each bowler out of the ground as his team scored 201 runs in 20 overs. Shane Watson took 2 wickets in the game and was the best bowler for Royals.

The Royals had a strong bating line-up capable of chasing this score down. Ajinkya Rahane and Shane Watson were in form but the Hyderabad bowlers took the better out of them to take the two wickets early. Karun Nair too failed to do much in this wicket as Rajasthan at one stage were struggling at 45/3 in 8th over. Steven Smith was the lone batsman at the top who was fighting hard to bring his team back in the game. He scored 68 runs in 40 balls. He was helped along the chase by James Faulkner. These two players carved the way towards victory but Faulkner too lost his wicket after scoring only 30 runs. Sanju Samson came out and started hitting ball hard scoring 21 runs out of 10 balls but it was Chris Morris who gave the Royals a real hope. He scored 34 runs off 11 balls but it went in vain as Royals were able to score only 194 runs falling short by 7 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kuma took 3 wickets for his team.

Morgan won the Yes bank maximum sixes award and he was also named as the man of the match.
