Lendl Simmons and Guptill book a final berth for the Warriors - The Jamaica Tallawahs after winning the 1st qualifier entered into the semi-final stage to play the match against the Guyana Amazon Warriors. This was a knock out match and the team winning would directly qualify for the finals of the league. After winning the toss in the all-important match the Amazon warriors decided to field first. Batting was a great concern for the Tallawahs in the previous match and this was proved yet again in this match. After an opening stand of 55 runs Chadwick Walton lost his wicket. He scored 34 runs and lost his wicket in the 10th over of the game. The very next over saw Chris Gayle lose his wicket leaving his team at 57/2. Run scoring was then made difficult for the batting side as in the 14th over of the game the 3rd wicket fell when the score was only 72 runs. Andre Russell seemed to be the dangerous man for the Tallawahs as he scored 20 runs off 12 balls but lost his wicket in the 18th over. The Tallawahs scored only 134 runs in 20 overs. Sunil Narine gave away only 17 runs taking 1 wicket.

The Amazon Warriors needed only 135 runs to reach the finals of the tournament. The target was achieved pretty easily by the top order batsmen of the team as Lendl Simmons and Martin Guptill scored the required run in 15 overs. Simmons scored 71 runs in 43 balls while Guptill scored 66 runs in 46 balls. Thus with this the Warriors won the match by 10 wickets and 31 balls remaining. Lendl Simmons won the man of the match award for scoring the runs and taking his team to the finals of the Caribbean Premiere League. The final will be played between Barbados Tridents and Guyana Amazon Warriors.
