Barbados Tridents won a low scoring match against Hawksbills - The 12th match of the Caribbean Premiere League saw Barbados Tridents hosted the Antigua Hawksbills. It was a low scoring match and in this match the home team decided to field first. In the first 2 overs the Antigua Hawksbills lost three wickets. Thestart even worsens when the team lost its fourth wicket in the sixth over of the innings. Marlon Samuels and David hussy were the man for the team as they scored most of the runs. Samuels scored 66 runs in the innings and Hussey played a knock of 24 runs. It was a story of yet another dismal performance by the batting line-up that was looking for some form. The team was able to score only 129 runs and only 4 players were able to reach the double figure mark. Ravi Rampaul was the man for Tridents as he took 4 wickets giving away only 15 runs in his 4 overs.

It seemed that the chase will be a simple one for the Tridents. The batsmen were in form and the team was full of confidence because of their previous wins in the tournament. Dwayne Smith was out in the 1st over scoring 0 runs for his team. By the end of the 6th over the dangerous Shoaib Malik too lost his wicket after scoring 18 runs. The changing point in the match came when Jonathan Carter who seemed to be in form lost his wicket due to a run out. He played a knock of 35 runs. Soon wickets fell as team from 103/5 were curtailed to 119/8. At the end somehow the tail Enders played sensibly and managed to register yet another victory in the tournament. Carlos Brathwaite was the man for the Hawksbills as he took 2 wickets taking 17 runs. Ravi Rampaul was the man of the match for his bowling performance.
