Antigua Hawksbills Cricket Team

The team from Antigua is known as the Antigua Hawksbills. They in the previous edition of the Caribbean Premiere League managed only two wins and finished in the 5th position in the league table. The team’s performance was nothing but a disappointing one for the fans as well as the team staff. This year around the team will surely be looking to change their fortunes by performing their best in the field. Only performances by the players will help them win and thus this time around there is few new names in the squad as the team looks to turn the table of fortunes this year. The team is lead by Marlon Samuels. This player has been one of the dependant performers for the team and this year too he would be looking forward in leading from the front. Sheldon Cottrell another West Indian impressed all with his bowling as he took eight wickets in the tournament. Devon Thomas the wicket keeper batsman will be expected to perform. 

 

The new names added in the squad mainly include the foreign players. David Hussey the T20 specialist from Australia is a part of the squad and is known for his depth batting and right arm off break bowling. Saeed Ajmal one of the most dangerous spinners of the world is a part of the squad and will be looking to chip in with some wickets giving away very less runs. The Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera is again a good player to be in any T20 squad. He can contribute with the bat as he is known for his hard hitting in the depth. This player also has taken many wickets in the international arena. The new players provide the much required versatility to the team and hence a better performance is on the cards.
