Ireland wins the match to seal the series against Scotland - The Scotland cricket team after losing the first match against Ireland in the tour moved on to play a must win tie to save the series. The match was played at the same venue as of the last ODI. The Irish team after winning the toss decided to field first. Once again the Scotland players faltered in this tour as the first 3 overs of the match saw the fall of 3 wickets. Hamish Gardiner and Richie Berrington tried to control the innings but in the 12th over the game the Irish bowler successfully broke the partnership. Gardiner after scoring 13 runs lost his wicket. The 5th wicket of the team fell in the 14th over which left them struggling at 48/5. Josh Davey joined in Berrington and scored some important runs for the team. Davey after scoring 40 runs lost his wicket and it opened the gates for the home side. The Scottish team was bowled out at 221. Berrington scored 101 runs and remained unbeaten throughout the innings. Max Sorensen took 4 wickets in the match while Craig Young took 3 wickets.

The Irish batsmen faced some trouble in the start. They lost 2 quick wickets as the openers lost their wickets without scoring some good runs. It was yet again the captain Kevin O’Brien who saved his team. Andrew Poynter was the man who helped him but lost his wicket in the 24th over. Kevin lost his wicket in the 31st over after scoring 67 runs. He left his team at a score of 157 and the team was all set for another victory. Stuart Thompson and John Mooney made sure that his team crossed the line easily and they did in the 45th over, winning the match as well as the series. The home side now leads the 3 match series 2-0.
