Yesterday, Otago Volts won the match against Highveld Lions after tie in the super over of 14th CL T20 Match at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Both teams scored equal number of boundaries in the super over i.e. 1 six and 1 four from both side but how come Otago Volts won that match?

According to the rules, in case of tie in super over, the winner will be decided based on the total boundaries scored in the match plus the boundaries scored in the super over.

Note: Both 6's and 4's will be considered.

Total Number of Boundaries by Highveld Lions: 18 (11 four and 7 sixes) +  2 ( 1 four + 1 Six ) = 20

Total Number of Boundaries by Otago Volts19 (12 four and 7 sixes) +  2 ( 1 four + 1 Six ) = 21

So, Otago Volts won the match after the tie in super over against Highveld lions.
