The
last unofficial test between Indian A and New Zealand A ended in a draw. Kiwi
won the toss and decided to bat first, Corey J Anderson and AP Devcich played extremely
well and both of them scored their century. In the first innings, New Zealand
scored 437 runs. From India A side, DS Kulkarni took 3 wickets and gave 53 runs
in 23 over. Then came the turn of India A to play their first innings.
India
A start was not good and they lost the wickets in quick succession. But then century
by the MC Juneja (Scored 193 runs), helped India A to score 430 runs. MR
Gillespie from the New Zealand A side took 4 wickets and gave 80 runs in 29
overs. On the fourth day New Zealand came to play and slowly started to score
runs. They were able to score 173 runs, but the day time was over and hence the
result of the match was draw. Both side won 2 tests each, so the series is leveled.
We saw some of the great performances from some youngsters. And many new faces performed
really good in the series.
