First Hat Trick in IPL was taken on 10th May 2008 in the first edition of IPL T20 by Lakshmipathy Balaji against Punjab Kings. Thus, L Balaji become the first bowler to take hat trick in IPL.
Yuzvendra Chahal from Rajasthan Royals became first player to take hat trick in 2022 against KKR.
Finally Rashid Khan from Gujarat Titans took first hattrick of IPL 2023 against KKR.
