The pair of Dwayne Bravo and Chris Gayle stands at the number 2nd position for hitting a record 3rd wicket partnership in the T20 World Cup for West Indies. In the 2nd semi-final match of the T20 World Cup 2012 against Australia, West Indies set a target of 206 runs for Australia in which Bravo and Gayle played an inning of 83 runs in a pair for the 3rd wicket that helped them to set a big target for Australia and Australian batters were bowled out at 131 runs only. Thus, West Indies won the match by 74 runs and Gayle was named for the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 75 runs.

The pair of Dwayne Bravo and Marlon Samuels is positioned at the number 3 place for contributing a record 3rd wicket partnership in the T20 World cup for West Indies. West Indies faced Sri Lanka in the 18th match of the T20 World Cup 2012 where they added 129 runs on the board in which Bravo and Samuels contributed 65 runs in a pair for the 3rd wicket but they could not defend the total and lost the match by 9 wickets.

They made this effort in the final competition of the T20 World Cup 2012 against Sri Lanka where they gave a target of 138 to the opposition in which Bravo and Samuels added 59 runs for the 3rd wicket and Samuels was named Man of the Match for his superb 78 runs.
