In his test career, he played 22 matches and scored 2190 runs from 40 innings at an average of 60.83 and struck 10 hundred, 2 double hundreds, and 5 fifties. Andy Ganteaume, a former right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman, is the 2nd batter who made a century in his first test match. He made his debut against Pakistan at Kensington Oval, Jan 17, 1958, where he stayed on the pitch for 300 min and scored 142 runs with 17 boundaries. In his test career, he played 44 test matches and scored 3245 runs at an average of 45.07 with 8 hundred, 1 double hundred, and 13 fifties. He appeared in his last test against India at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Jan 13, 1967.
