The 51st match of 2020 IPL was played at Dubai International Stadium, where Mumbai countered Delhi. The match was played on 31st October. Mumbai Indian was captained by Kieron Pollard, while Delhi Capitals was led by Shreyas Iyer. 

Due to the form of both teams, it was looking like a tough fight, but the match was almost one-sided. MI won the toss and chose to field first. To begin, the inning Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan came to bat from Delhi Capitals, but in the first over only, Dhawan returned to the pavilion with the score of 0. Shaw was joined by Iyer, and a long partnership was expected, but again Shaw could not do well and got out at an individual score of 10 in the 3rd over. Iyer was joined by Pant, and they tried to move the score quickly, but this time Iyer also got out early. He could make 25 runs only. Hence the score of the team was 50/3 in the 11th over. In the 12th over, Marcus Stoinis and Rishabh Pant also went back to the pavilion. Shimron Hetmyer got out at 11, and Harshal Patel could make 5 runs only. At the end of 20 overs, DC was able to make 110 runs at a loss of 9 wickets. Hence for MI, it was a task to make 111 runs to win the game. From MI, Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah got 3 wickets each.

To chase the score, Mumbai Indians openers Ishan Kishan and Quinton de Kock came to pitch. They made a great partnership of 68 runs. In the 11th over, de Kock got out at an individual score of 26 runs. Suryakumar Yadav joined Kishan to carry the inning ahead. Ishan Kishan was playing like a champion, and no bowler from DC was able to create any impression on him or stop him from playing big shots. Soon Kishan completed his half-century also. MI needed 111 runs, which Kishan and Yadav made in 14.5 overs only. Hence MI won the match by 9 wickets, leaving 34 balls spared. It was a huge jolt to team DC, which wanted to enter the playoff round while MI made his position sound on the table point with this big winning. From DC, Anrich Nortje was the only bowler who got a wicket. Ishan Kishan was declared as the player of the match for his inning of not out 72 runs in 47 balls only.
