Northamptonshire Cricket Team

Northamptonshire County cricket is one of the cricket teams in the England and Wales domestic cricket championship. This cricket team represents the historic county of Northamptonshire. The ODI team for this county is known as the Northants Steelbacks. They play their most of the home matches in the county cricket ground of Northamptonshire. The team made its first class debut in the year 1905 and since then has failed to register a single win in the county championship division 1. The team emerged as the division 2 winners in the year 2000. Although they are never crowned as champions but they finished the season as runners up team 4 times. In the last season the team got promoted to the division 1 after finishing as the second best team in the division 2. Currently the team is a part of division 1 championship, Twenty20 and Royal London ODI tournament.
