Australia wins the Only T20I with a tight chase against Pakistan - The Australians started of their tour of Pakistan with the only Twenty 20 match. This match was played in Dubai. In the match the home side after winning the toss decided to field first. During a period of time the Pakistan batting has always been a concern and in this match too the Pakistan batting stole the lime light as the players failed to perform their best. The Australian bowlers made sure that they made dents in the batting order at the start. In the 1st 10 overs of the game the Pakistan team lost 6 of their wickets. Awais Zia was the first to go in the 3rd over of the game. The same over saw the fall of Umar Amin who failed to score a single run. Sohaib Maqsood was the next player to go. He too failed to score a single run. Ahmed Shehzad scored 10 runs but his resistance too failed in the 7th over of the game. The middle order too failed to score runs for the team but Saad Nasim was the lone player in the middle order to shine as he scored 25 runs. At the end Wahab Riaz and Raza Hasan worked out together scoring 16 and 13 runs to take their team to a total of 96. Glenn Maxwell today gained name with ball taking 3 wickets for his team.

The target for the Australians was pretty low. The 2nd innings required Pakistan bowling unit to take some quick wickets. This was a tough ask but the team responded with taking 4 wickets in 9 overs of the game. It seemed that the match was turning towards a thriller but David Warner was the difference between the two teams as he scored 54 runs in the innings to make sure that his team crossed the line comfortably. The Australians won the match with 6 wickets in hand. Glenn Maxwell was named as the man of the match for his bowling performance and 17 runs innings with the bat which proved to be crucial.
