This match was a virtual Quarter-final as the winning team qualified directly for the semi-finals of the tournament. West Indies captain Sammy won the toss and decided to bat first. The decision of batting first seemed a wrong decision in the first 14 overs as the bowlers dominated the batsmen. At the end of 14th over West Indies were 81/5 with Sammy and bravo on crease to fight it out till the end. The captain and the dangerous all-rounder fought against the formidable Pakistan attack and scored 85 runs in 6 overs.
