Mirwais Ashraf is an Afghanistan cricketer who represents his country in International cricket. Ashraf was born on 30th June 1988 at Kunduz, Afghanistan. He is a right hand batsman and bowls right arm fast medium. Ashraf was in the Afghanistan squad for ICC World Twenty20 of 2010. He was also there in the national team for 2014 ICC World Twenty20.

Ashraf has played for Afghanistan in List A, First Class, One Day International and T20 International cricket.

His First Class debut was at Amstelveen against Netherlands on 24th August 2009. Afghanistan won the match by 1 wicket. Ashraf’s first List A match followed soon on the 30th of August 2009. It was also against Netherlands and at Amstelveen. Netherlands won the match, but Ashraf had scored 17 runs off 32 balls and also bowled a spell of 7 overs while conceding only 20 odd runs. Without much delay, Ashraf went ahead to represent his country in the international platform at One Day International cricket. His first ODI was versus Netherlands at Amstelveen.

Ashraf played his first T20 International on 4th Februaly 2010 versus Canada at Colombo. Ashraf bowled 4 overs and gave out only 23 runs. Afghanistan won the match by 5 wickets with 1 ball to go. Ashraf has also played matches against Nepal and Zimbabwe. He is one of the best all-rounders of the national team of Afghanistan.
