Golden Bat Award in ICC Champions Trophy 2013

Shikhar no doubt is a star player for Indian for the time being. But in my view or you can say the general view is that, we should not create so much hype about him. The basis reason behind this is, in the past we have seen some players doing good in one tournament and then after so much of hype creation about them, they tends go out of their form.

Let him play his natural game and disturbing him due to the reason related to the much appraisal is I think nowhere justified. Good it is that, he has done exceptional batting in this tournament, but let him do same in other tournament also. Publicity kills the talent and this can be known from the fact, if we start picking some of the past players.

In the upcoming tri series, he should dhow us that, how well he is and how well he can play in other fields also. In England the conditions of the atmosphere were quit unfavorable for the Indian side, but he does perform good there. So in my view he will also perform good here also.

So let’s see what he will do, in the upcoming series, because the more he bat good, more are the chances of Indian side to win this series.
