Highest 2nd Wicket Partnership in T20 World Cup For Bangladesh

Bangladesh cricket fans have watched several instances in the T20 World, where one of Bangladesh's openers has failed and been sent back too early, then the batter at number three comes out and forms a key second wicket partnership. Sabbir Rahman and Tamim Iqbal scored 97 runs as Bangladesh's greatest second-wicket partnership in the T20 World Cup.

Rahman and Iqbal, both batters played well and struck 97 runs in a pair for the 2nd wicket. In reply, Oman could make 65 runs only and lost the match.

Aftab Ahmed and Junaid Siddique (63 Runs in 2007)

The pair of Aftab Ahmed and Junaid Siddique is listed at the 2nd position for making the record 2nd wicket partnership in the T20 World Cup for Bangladesh. Bangladesh faced Pakistan in the 23rd match of the T20 World Cup 2007, where Bangladesh added 140 runs on the scoreboard in which Ahmed and Siddique contributed 63 runs in a pair for the 2nd wicket. In reply, Pakistan easily achieved the target in 19 overs and won the match by 4 wickets. 

Liton Das and Shakib Al Hasan (50 Runs in 2021)

The pair of Liton Das and Shakib Al Hasan is placed at the 3rd position for making the record 2nd wicket partnership in the T20 World Cup for Bangladesh. In the 9th match of the T20 World Cup 2021 against Papua New Guinea, Bangladesh got the chance to bat first and they added 181 runs on the scoreboard, Das and Hasan added a crucial 50 runs in a pair for the 2nd wicket. In reply, Papua New Guinea could not achieve the target and lost the match by 84 runs.

The pair of Sabbir Rahman and Tamim Iqbal is sitting at the 4th position for making the record 2nd wicket partnership in the T20 World Cup for Bangladesh. Bangladesh and India faced each other in the 25th match of the T20 World Cup 2016, where the Indian team batted first and gave a target of 147 runs to Bangladesh. The match went to the last ball and it was full of entertainment. Bangladesh could make 145 runs and lost the match by 1 run only, Rahman and Iqbal contributed 44 runs in a pair for the 2nd wicket in that match.

In the 14th match of the T20 World Cup 2016 against Pakistan, Bangladesh got the target of 202 runs to win the match but they could make only 146, where Rahman and Iqbal added 42 runs in a pair for the 2nd wicket. Bangladesh batters played slow and could not maintain the required run rate, and lost the match by 55 runs.
