Delhi Capitals is one of the 10 teams that take part in IPL since the inception of the league but unfortunately, they have never been able to lift the IPL trophy. The team is currently captained by an Australian batter, David Warner under the coaching of another former Australian batter Ricky Point. As of 2022, Delhi Capitals have qualified for the Playoffs round 6 times and they reached the final in 2020 where they faced defeat against Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets. They also became semi-finalists for the first two seasons of IPL. 1. Quinton de Kock (48 balls against RCB, 2016)

Quinton de Kock is standing at the top position for making the fastest century in IPL for Delhi Capitals. He made this feat from just 48 balls while playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2016. In the 11th T20 competition of IPL on 17 April 2016 in Bangalore, Royal Challenger Bangalore and Delhi Capitals faced each other and Delhi Capitals decided to field first after winning the toss. When RCB came out to the middle, they lost Chris Gayle very soon but later Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers handled the situation and added 107 runs for the 2nd wicket that helped them to reach the total of 191. In reply, Delhi Capitals opener Quinton de Kock played an awesome inning of 108 runs from just 51 balls that assisted them to reach the target in 19.1 overs and won the match by 7 wickets. Quinton de Kock was named Man of the Match and Most Valuable Player of the Match.

2. Virendra Sehwag (48 Balls against Deccan Chargers, 2011)

Virendra Sehwag is at the number 2 position for hitting the fastest century for Delhi Capitals in Indian Premier League. The fastest 100 by Virendra Sehwag is achieved in 48 balls while playing against Deccan Chargers in IPL 2011. When Delhi and Deccan Chargers faced each other in the 46th match of the IPL 2011 in Hyderabad on 5 May, Delhi went for fielding first after winning the toss and stopped the Chargers at 175 runs. In reply, when Delhi came out to chase the target, they lost 3 quick wickets but on one hand, Virendra Sehwag stood on the pitch and added 119 runs from 56 balls by hitting thirteen 4s and six 6s at a strike rate of 212.50. Sehwag’s century helped Delhi to achieve the target in 19 overs and won the match by 4 wickets. Thus, Virendra Sehwag was named Man of the Match and the Most Valuable Player.

3. AB de Villiers (51 balls against CSK in 2009)

AB de Villiers, a former South African Batter, is sitting at the number 3 position for making the fastest century for Delhi Capitals in IPL. He achieved this feat in 51 balls while performing against Chennai Super Kings in Durban. In the 9th match of the IPL 2009 on 23 April in Durban, Delhi faced Chennai where Delhi decided to bat first after winning the toss and they added 189 runs on the scoreboard. Despite getting a bad start, Delhi Capitals managed to retain a run rate of over 9 per over because of AB de Villier's outstanding strike of unbeaten 105 runs from 51 balls. In reply, Chennai got a good start but could not maintain the required run rate and could make 180 runs. Thus, Delhi Capitals won the match by 9 runs and AB de Villiers was named Man of the Match and the Most Valuable Player in that game.

4. David Warner (52 Balls against Deccan Chargers in 2012)

David Warner is standing at the number 4th position for making the fastest century for Delhi Capitals in IPL. He made this feat in 52 balls while playing against Deccan Chargers in IPL 2012. Delhi Capitals and Deccan Chargers stood against each other in the 55th match of the IPL 2012 on 10 May in Hyderabad. Deccan Chargers went for the bat first after winning the toss and added 187 runs on the scoreboard, setting a target of 188 for Delhi. In reply, Delhi lost Virendra Sehwag very early at 4 runs but then David Warner and Naman Ojha performed incredibly and added 189 runs for the 2nd wicket. David Warner contributed a very crucial 109 runs in 54 balls with ten 4s and seven 6s at a strike rate of 201.85. Thus, Delhi won the match by 9 wickets in just 16.4 overs and David Warner was chosen Man of the Match and Most Valuable Player of the Game.

5. Rishabh Pant (56 balls against SRH in 2018)

Rishabh Pant is holding the 5th position for making the fastest century in Indian Premier League for Delhi Capitals. He made this excellent effort from just 56 balls while performing against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2018. Delhi Capital won the toss and elected to bat first in the 42nd match of the IPL on 10 May 2018 in Delhi and added 187 runs after losing 5 wickets. In the entire inning of Delhi, Rishabh Pant handled the miserable situation of Delhi by adding 128 runs from just 63 balls with fifteen 6s and seven 6s at a strike rate of 203.17. In reply, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their first wicket so easily but then they maintained the required run rate and achieved the target very handy in 18.5 overs only. Despite losing the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rishabh Pant was named the Most Valuable Player for his outstanding performance.
