Misbah-ul-Haq contributed crucial 53 runs and Yasir Arafat supported him very well, thus a partnership of 38 runs between both of them ended the match with no result.

The pair of Misbah-ul-Haq and Yasir Arafat added a record partnership of 27 runs for the 7th wicket in T20 World Cup for Pakistan. While chasing a target of 158 runs against India in the final competition of T20 World Cup 2007, Misbah-ul-Haq was the only batsman who could win against Pakistan and his partner Yasir also supported him but could not stay longer. Misbah-ul-Haq contributed 43 runs and fought till the end of the match but did not achieve the target and thus Pakistan lost the T20 World Cup 2007 final by 5 runs.

The pair of Imran Nazir and Kamran Akmal is sitting at the number 5th position for hitting the highest 7th wicket partnership for Pakistan in the history of the T20 World Cup. In the 23rd match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2007, Pakistan was chasing a target of 141 runs against Bangladesh at Capetown where Nazir remained not out and contributed 43 runs and kamran Akmal at number 8 position supported him and thus created a unbeaten partnership of 22 runs and won the match by 4 wickets.
