The Caribbean Premier League is one of the T20 tournaments renowned for the caliber of cricket and entertainment it provides. Cricket West Indies organizes the CPL, a T20 competition that brings together cricketers from various nations to participate in a speedy style. The 20 overs format of the CPL makes it an exciting tournament to watch, with the power hitters being one of the main attractions. These players are capable of hitting every ball toward or beyond the boundary, leading some to achieve incredible feats and set numerous records. 1. Andre Rusell

Andre Russell, a West Indies all-rounder, is sitting at the top position for making the fastest century in CPL. He achieved this feat from just 40 deliveries while playing against Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL 2018. In the 3rd match of the CPL on August 10, 2018, in Port of Spain, Trinbago Knight Riders and Jamaica Tallawahs faced each other. Jamaica invited its opposition to bat first after winning the toss and Trinbago Knight Riders added 223 runs on the scoreboard while batting first. In reply, the openers and top order of Jamaica could not handle the Knight Rider’s bowlers and at one stage, Jamaica lost half of its team at 41 runs only. Then, the skipper of the Jamaica Tallawahs, Andre Russel took charge and handled the situation. He made an excellent effort and struck unbeaten 100+ runs that helped them to achieve the target in 19.3 overs. Throughout his entire inning, Russell smashed 129 runs in 49 balls by hitting six 4s and thirteen 6s at a strike rate of 246.93 and thus he became the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance with ball and bat as he took 3 wickets also.

2. Andre Rusell

Andre Rusell has registered second place in the list of hitting the fastest century in the Caribbean Premier League. He achieved this feat in 42 balls while playing against Trinbago Knight Riders in the 2nd Qualifier competition of CPL on Basseterre, August 05, 2016. Jamaica got the chance to bat first but they got tough competition from the Trinbago Knight Riders bowlers. At one moment of the match, Jamaica lost their 4 wickets at 67 runs only. Then its skipper, Russell came out at number 6th position and controlled the damage. He added very crucial 100 runs by hitting three 4s and eleven 6s at a strike rate of 227.27 that helped them to reach a total of 195 runs. In reply, when Trinbago came out to chase the target, they could not maintain the required run rate and due to the D/L method, Jamaica was declared as a winner. Andre Russell came out to be a key player of Jamaica and that is why he was named Player of the Match. 

3. Nicholas Pooran

Nicholas Pooran is sitting at the 3rd position for making the fastest century in CPL. He registered the record of third fastest century in CPL from just 45 balls while performing against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in CPL 2020. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Guyana Amazon Warriors faced each other for the 20th match of the CPL in Port of Spain where the Patriots got the chance to bat first and they added 150 for 5 on the scoreboard. When Guyana Amazon Warriors came out to chase the target, they lost their three quick wickets at 25 runs only. Afterward, Nicholas Pooran along with Ross Taylor handled the situation and added a partnership of 128 runs that assisted them to reach the target very easily. Nicholas became the key player for the Warriors by hitting 100 runs with four 4s and ten 6s at a strike rate of 222.22. In the end, Nicholas Pooran was named Man of the Match for his unbeaten match-winning innings. 

4. Shimron Hetmyer

Shimron Hetmyer is sitting in the 4th position for making the fastest century in CPL. He struck the 4th fastest century in CPL from just 47 balls while playing against Jamaica Tallawahs in CPL 2018. Guyana Amazon Warriors went for the batting first after winning the toss and they added a total of 209 runs on the scoreboard, thus setting a difficult target of 210 for Jamaica. In the entire innings of the Warriors, Shimron Hetmyer performed very well by hitting 100 runs with eleven 4s and five 6s at a strike rate of 204.08. Shoaib Malik, on the other hand, also supported him which helped them to cross the 200+ milestone. When Jamaica came out to chase the target, their batters could not perform well and the entire squad was bowled out at 138 only. Thus Amazon won the match by 71 runs and Shimron Hetmyer was named Man of the Match. 

5. Chris Gayle

Chirs Gayle is standing at the number 4th position for making the fastest century in CPL. smashed the 5th fastest 100 in CPL from just 49 deliveries while playing against Trinbago Knight Riders. In the 7th match of the CPL 2016 in Port of Spain, Trinbago Knight Riders and Jamaica Tallawahs stood against each other where Trinbago got the chance to bat first and added 191 runs for 4 on the scoreboard. In reply, Jamaica took only 18.2 overs to get the target and won the match by 7 wickets very easily. This all happened because of the incredible strike of Chirs Gayle’s unbeaten 108 runs from just 54 balls with six 4s and eleven 6s at a strike rate of 200.00 and this made him the Man of the Match.
