Adelaide Strikers vs Brisbane Heat Head to Head

Adelaide Strikers (STR) and Brisbane Heat (HEA) teams are the two Big Bash League (BBL) teams created back in the very first season of BBL 2011-12. Both the teams Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat are attacking teams, and both are BBL title-winning teams. Both the teams comprised of good quality domestic as well as overseas cricketers in their side. Brisbane Heat has the best-attacking batting line up in the tournament. Both the teams Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat are equally strong and had played 11 matches against each other in BBL history. Adelaide Strikers had managed to win 6 games out of 11 while Brisbane Heat also won 5 times. The current captain of Adelaide Strikers is Travis Head. He will lead the team in BBL 2020-21, and the captain of Brisbane Heat is Chris Lynn. Brisbane Heat also has good coaching staff of Darren Lehman and James Hopes.

Brisbane HeatMelbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat had played 1 match against each other in BBL 2012-13. Johan Botha was assigned as the new captain of Adelaide Strikers team, and James Hopes handled the captaincy of Brisbane Heat in BBL 2012-13. The match was played on December 13, 2012, at Adelaide Oval. The host Adelaide Strikers had batted first and had made 185 runs in their 20 overs. Callum Ferguson had scored brilliant fifty for his team Adelaide Strikers. He had made most 52 runs in just 36 balls. AC McDermott and T Parera had taken 3 wickets each for Brisbane Heat. Kieron Pollard had taken most 2 wickets for Adelaide Strikers. Luke Pomersbach was selected as player of the match for his brilliant match-winning 65 runs knock under pressure situation.

Heat vs Strikers Head to Head in Big Bash League 2013-14

Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat clashed 1 time in BBL 2013-14 during the league stage. Johan Botha and James Hopes had maintained their captaincy for Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat in BBL 2013-14. The league match between STR and HEA of BBL 2013-14 was played on January 18, 2014, at Adelaide Oval. The Brisbane Heat team had batted first and had made 129 runs in their 20 overs. C Kieswetter had played a brilliant knock of 51 runs in 46 balls. Ben McDermott also had made 30 runs in 26 balls and helped to get a fighting total of 129 runs. Shaun Tait, Johan Botha and Michael Nesser had taken 2 wickets each for Adelaide Strikers. It was a low scoring game. Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat had played only 1 league game against each other in BBL 2014-15. Johan Botha and James Hopes had maintained their captaincy for their respective teams.  The match was played on January 4, 2015, at The Gabba, Brisbane. Brisbane Heat had batted first and had made 152 runs in 1st innings. Peter Forrest had scored most 33 runs for Brisbane Heat. N Reardon also had made not out 31 runs for Brisbane Heat. Ben Laughlin and Craig Simmons had bowled brilliantly and had taken 2 wickets each for Adelaide Strikers. It was a target of 153 runs for Strikers to win the match. Travis Head had scored most runs in 2nd innings for Strikers and helped his team to win the match. He had made not out 57 runs and finished the match for his team. Both Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat changed their captain. Brad Hodge was selected as the new captain of Adelaide Strikers, and Chris Lynn was appointed as captain of Brisbane Heat in BBL 2015-16. Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat clashed 1 time in BBL 2015-16. The league match between STR and HEA in BBL 2015-16 was played on January 8, 2016, at The Gabba Stadium, Brisbane. Brisbane Heat team had batted first and had made 175 runs in their 20 overs. J Peirson opened the innings for Brisbane Heat and gave a brilliant start. He had scored 51 runs in 36 balls. Captain Chris Lynn also had scored 34 runs in 25 balls. N Reardon finished the Brisbane innings and had made 20 runs in 32 balls. Rashid Khan had bowled brilliantly for Adelaide Strikers and had taken 2 wickets. Tim Ludeman and Mahela Jayawardene opened the innings for Adelaide Strikers. HEA vs STR Head to Head in Big Bash League 2016-17

Brad Hodge had maintained his captaincy for Adelaide Strikers, and Brendon McCullum was selected as the new captain of Brisbane Heat in BBL 2016-17.  Brisbane Heat had played 1 match against Brisbane Heat in BBL 2016-17 at Adelaide Oval. The match was played on December 21, 2016. Brisbane Heat had batted first and had made 206 runs in their 20 overs. J Peirson and Captain Brendon McCullum gave a brilliant start to the team. They had made an opening partnership of 90 runs. J Peirson had scored 46, and Brendon McCullum had made 42 runs for Brisbane Heat. Alex Ross finished the Brisbane innings and had made most 64 runs in just 36 balls. Chris Jordan and Kieron Pollard had bowled brilliantly for Strikers and had taken 2 wickets each. It was a big target of 207 runs for Strikers to win the match. Jake Weatherland and Ben Dunk gave dreamy start to Adelaide Strikers. Both had scored brilliant fifty and had made an opening partnership of 133 runs. Jake Weatherland had made 52 runs in 30 balls, and Benk Dunk had scored most 85 runs in just 43 balls for Adelaide Strikers. It was brilliant batting efforts by batsmen of Adelaide Strikers, but Adelaide left 11 runs short to target. Adelaide Strikers had made 196 runs in their 20 overs. Mark Steketee had bowled brilliantly and had taken most 3 wickets for Brisbane Heat. Brisbane Heat defeated Adelaide Strikers by 10 runs. Brendon McCullum was selected as player of the match for his brilliant batting performance of 42 runs and his leadership skills. 

Adelaide vs Brisbane Head to Head in Big Bash League 2017-18

Travis Head was assigned as captain of Adelaide Strikers team, and Brendon McCullum had maintained his captaincy for Brisbane Heat. Strikers and Heat had played 1 match against each other in BBL 2017-18. The match was played on December 31, 2017, at Adelaide Oval. Adelaide Strikers had batted first and had made 147 runs in 1st innings. Michael Nesser had batted brilliantly and had made most 40 runs in 26 balls for Adelaide Strikers. Colin Ingram also had made 23 runs for Adelaide Strikers. Josh Lalor had bowled brilliantly and had taken most 3 wickets for Brisbane Heat. Yasir Shah also had bowled brilliantly and had taken 2 wickets by giving only 18 runs in his 4 overs quota. It was a target of 148 runs for Heat to win the match, but their batting collapsed horribly. Adelaide Strikers bowlers defended the target. Brisbane Team got all out on just 91 runs in 16.2 overs. C Gannon had scored most 23 runs for Brisbane Heat. Ben Laughlin had bowled brilliantly for Adelaide Strikers and had taken most 3 wickets. Rashid Khan and Michael Nesser also had bowled brilliantly and had taken 2 wickets each. Adelaide Strikers won the match by 56 runs. Michael Nesser was awarded as the player of the match for his 40 runs with the bat and 2 wickets with the ball. It was an absolute all-round cricketing performance by Michael Nesser for his team. 

Brisbane vs Adelaide Head to Head in Big Bash League 2018-19

Colin Ingram was appointed as captain of Adelaide Strikers, and Chris Lynn handled the captaincy of Brisbane Heat in BBL 2018-19. STR and HEA had played 2 matches against each other in BBL 2018-19. The 1st match between these two sides was held on December 19, 2018, at The Gabba, Brisbane. Brisbane Heat team had batted fist and had made 146 runs in their 20 overs. Captain Chris Lynn had scored most 33 runs in just 20 balls for Heat. J Peirson had made not out 24 runs in 13 balls and finished the innings of Heat. Rashid Khan had bowled brilliant for Adelaide Strikers and had taken most 3 wickets by giving only 19 runs in his 4 overs. Billy Stanlake and M Short also had taken 2 wickets each for Strikers. It was a target of 147 runs for Strikers to steal the game. Alex Carry opened the innings for Adelaide Strikers and had played brilliant innings of 70 runs in 46 balls for Strikers. Adelaide Strikers won the match by 5 wickets and 5 balls to spare. Rashid Khan was selected as player of the match for his 3/19 bowling figures.

The 2nd time STR and HEA had played against each other in BBL 2018-19 was on February 3, 2019, at Adelaide Oval. Adelaide Strikers had batted first and had made 176 runs in their 20 overs. J Wells had scored most 30 runs for Adelaide Strikers. Rashid Khan finished the Adelaide innings in style. He had made 19 runs in just 6 balls for his team. Josh Lalor had bowled brilliantly and had taken 3 wickets for Heat. It was a big target of 177 runs for Brisbane Heat. They lost their 3 wickets early, and it was looking difficult for Heat to win the game, but then Brendon McCullum and M Renshaw had shown quality cricket and had made a partnership of 122 runs for 4th wicket. Brendon McCullum had made 51 runs in 39 balls, and M Renshaw had scored a brilliant match-winning not out 90 runs in just 50 balls and snatched the victory from Adelaide Strikers for his team. Brisbane Heat chased the target in 18.4 overs and won the match by 6 wickets. Peter Siddle had taken 2 wickets for Strikers. Matt Renshaw was awarded as the player of the match for his not out match-winning 90 runs innings for Brisbane Heat.  

Brisbane versus Strikers Head to Head in Big Bash League 2019-20

Travis Head handled the captaincy of Adelaide Strikers, and Chris Lynn had maintained his captaincy for Brisbane Heat in BBL 2019-20. Adelaide Strikers had played 2 games against Brisbane Heat in BBL 2019-20. The 1st match between STR and HEA in BBL 2019-20 was held on January 14, 2020, at The Gabba, Brisbane. Adelaide Strikers had batted first and gave a target of only 111 runs for Heat to win the match. It was a horrible performance by the batsmen of Adelaide Strikers. Rashid Khan had scored most 28 runs for Strikers. James Pattinson had bowled his dreamy spell and had bowled brilliantly and had taken 5 wickets for Brisbane Heat. Josh Lalor and Ben Cutting had taken 2 wickets each. It was a small target for Heat, and M Renshaw had scored brilliant fifty and finished the game for Strikers. He had scored not out 52 runs in 45 balls. AB de Villiers also had scored 40 runs in 32 balls. Brisbane Heat comfortably won the match by 7 wickets in 15.2 overs only. James Pattinson was awarded as the player of the match for his brilliant 5 wickets. 

The 2nd time both the team had played against each other in BBL 2019-20 was on January 17, 2020, at Adelaide Oval. Brisbane Heat had batted first and got all out on 100 runs in 1st innings. Matt Renshaw had made most 43 runs for Brisbane Heat. N O’Connor had taken most 3 wickets for Adelaide Strikers. Michael Nesser and A Agar also had taken 2 wickets each. It was a small target of 101 runs for Adelaide Strikers to win the match. Phill Salt and Jake Weatherland opened the innings for Strikers. Brisbane Heat bowlers had failed to take even a single wicket in the game, and Adelaide Strike won the match by 10 wickets. P Salt had made not out 67 runs in 38 balls, and J Weatherland had made not out 33 runs in 27 balls. Adelaide Strikers chased the target in 10.5 overs only. Liam O'Connor was selected as player of the match for his 3/30 match-winning bowling spell. He dominated over the big batting line up of Brisbane Heat. Adelaide Strikers had completely dominated over Brisbane Heat in all department in this match.

Adelaide versus Heat Head to Head in Big Bash League 2020-21

Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat will play 2 league matches in BBL 2020-21. Chris Lynn will guide the Brisbane Heat and Travis Head had maintained his captaincy for Adelaide Strikers one more season.  The 1st match between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat in BBL 2020-21 will be held on December 23, Wednesday 2020 at The Gabba, Brisbane. The host Heat will try to find an easy win at home. The 2nd league match between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat of BBL 2020-21 will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Adelaide Oval. Adelaide Strikers will try to dominate at home and want to achieve a comfortable victory.
