Mumbai Indians Crowned as champions of T20 - The final of the Champions League T20 was played in the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium situated in New Delhi. The game was played between the Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. This was a repeat fixture of the IPL final that saw Mumbai Indians emerge as the champions. This was a special match too as Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid both had announced their retirement from this form of cricket. After winning the toss the Royals decided to field first. This decision was soon proved wrong by the batsmen of the Mumbai Indians. The attack was led by Dwayne Smith who scored 44 runs at the top and later Rohit Sharma scored a quick 33 runs to help and raise the run rate of the team. Ambati Raydu scored 29 runs in the game. The game changed when the hard hitting batsman Glenn Maxwell came. He scored a quick 37 runs in just 14 balls and ended the innings for the Mumbai Indians at 202.

The score was a good one for a final match of an international tournament. The Rajasthan Royals lost the important wicket of Thisara Perera in the 1st over after scoring 8 runs. Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson scored 65 and 60 runs respectively. They were going good and it seemed that the match would be won easily but the turning point came in the 12th over when Samson lost his wicket. The scene changed for the team as the Mumbai Spinners took some quick wickets. From 155/4 the team came down to 169 all out. This was the game changer and Mumbai Indians emerged as champions of the T20. Harbhajan Singh took 4 wickets while Kieron Pollard took 3 wickets and were the game changers for the team. Harbhajan Singh was named as the man of the match.
