UVA Next Cricket Team

UVA Next is one the seven domestic franchise teams of Sri Lankan Premier League. The UVA next team represents UVA Province and is the only successful team and the current champion of Sri Lankan Premier League. The team is owned by Success Sports Private Limited. In 2012 its owner made a bid of $4.6 million to win the franchise of the team for the next seven years. The team has proved to be the strongest side in the Sri Lankan Premier League and has been able to win the first edition of Sri Lankan Premier League. The team is captained by Thilina Kandamby and Indian icon cricketer Robin Singh has been appointed as their head coach.
