James Tredwell is an English player who represents England. A left-handed batsman born in 1982. He also bowls and is a right arm off-break bowler. Apart from England, he plays domestic cricket for Kent County Cricket Club. He made his debut in International Cricket vey late at the age of 30. He made his debut for Kent in 2001 and was declared as County Skipper in 2012. He has been playing for Kent in one-day domain since 2002. Tredwell made his one day debut for Kent County Cricket Club in 2002 where he claimed a wicket after conceding 26 runs. He was the part of side that won the 2007 Twenty20 Cup beating Gloucestershire in the final. He played just two County Championship games in 2005. He made his first List A appearance for Kent Cricket Board against Worcestershire Cricket Board in the first round of the 2000 NatWest Trophy, when he was run out for ten and took one wicket. He made 19 List A appearances for Kent in 2002, finishing the season with 21 wickets at an average of 23.76. Tredwell has played only 1 Test match in 2010 against Bangladesh and scored 37 runs with an average of 37. In the same game, he took 6 wickets for his side with an average of 30. When it comes to his ODI career, James made his debut in the same year and against the same team as in the Test format. He has played 16 games and has added just 45 runs in his score card batted with an average of 11. He has also taken nearly 26 wickets in ODI format. He was named Player of the Match in England's final group qualifier of the 2011 World Cup against the West Indies, with bowling figures of 4-48. Coach Andy Flower described him as a "like for like" replacement for Graeme Swann in 2009 in the squad on tour in South Africa. Earlier on in the tour, he had been added to England's limited overs squad, also as cover for Swann, although he did not play a game as England won the ODI series 2–1, but subsequently made his ODI debut on England's tour of Bangladesh in March 2010.
