Rain interrupts make things difficult for Hawksbills - Antigua Hawksbills and St Lucia Zouks came face to face against each other on 15th August. It was a league match of the Caribbean Premiere League that was played in the stadium of Antigua. The Zouks won the toss and elected to bat first. while batting first the team went off to a flying start as both the openers scored 46 runs in 6 overs. Tamim Iqbal after scoring 20 runs lost his wicket. Later Devon Smith joined hands with Andre Fletcher to carry on the onslaught with the bat. In just 11 overs the team reached a score of 92. The next over saw the departure of Smith, he scored 29 runs. Darren Sammy after the departure of Smith came In and played some great shots. Meanwhile Fletcher too lost his wicket after a marvellous innings of 76 runs. Sammy ended the innings scoring 35 runs as the Zouks posted a score of 179 on board.

Chasing a big score of 180 requires a great start. This great start proves to be a base to fire in the later part of the game. The home team failed in achieving a good start as both the openers were back in the pavilion in the 3rd over of the game. It was Jahmar Hamilton and Marlon Samuels who came back with a bang scoring 76 runs in 10 overs. The rain came down poring and disrupting the game. Soon the rains subsided and the match restarted. But this restart lasted for four balls which saw the departure of Hamilton thus ruining the hopes of the home side. the rain never subsided thus the result of the match came out wth D/L method. The new target was 94 in 10.4 overs thus the home team lost the game by 18 runs. Fletcher for his batting was named as the man of the match.
