The second ODI of three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe was played on 1st November at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. From the guest team, the captaincy was handled by Chamu Chibhabha while Pakistan team was led by Babar Azam. The match was started at 12:00 PM local time.

In this match, Zimbabwe won the toss and opted to bat first. From Zimbabwe, the opening pair of Chari and Chibhabha started the inning. In the 6th over Chibhabha got out and hence the team lost the first wicket. In the 9th over Ervine also got out and hence the score of the team was 27/2. On one end Chari was batting but soon in the 16th over he got out. However, Brendan Taylor and Sean Williams managed to play well and keep the scoreboard moving. In 26th over, Taylor got out at an individual score of 36 runs. However, Williams kept on batting well and scored 75 runs before getting out in 38th over. No other batsmen could do well, so the inning of Zimbabwe ended at the score of 206 at a loss of 10 wickets in 45.1 overs only. Team Pakistan needed 207 runs in 50 overs to win the game. From Pakistan, Iftikhar Ahmed was the most successful bowler who got 5 wickets.

To chase the score, the opening pair of Abid Ali and Imam-ul-Haq came to bat. They provided a good start to the team as Abid Ali got out in the 11th over when the score of the team was 68. Soon in the 17th over Imam-ul-Haq also got out at an individual score of 49 runs. However, Babar Azam played a good inning of not out 77 runs and led the team to the victory. Pakistan made 208 runs in 35.2 overs at a loss of 4 wickets. From Zimbabwe, Tendai Chisoro was the most successful bowler who got 2 wickets. Iftikhar Ahmed was the man of the match for his brilliant bowling.
