The 26th match of the CPL 2020 was played between Barbados Tridents and Guyana Amazon Warriors on September 3, Thursday at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad in evening.

Guyana Amazon Warriors captain Chris Green won the toss and chose to bowl first. Johnson Charles and Justin Greaves opened the inning for the Barbados Tridents. Both failed to have better start for team and got out early in the inning. Both made 10 runs each. The Tridents changed their batting order and promoted Rashid Khan at 1st order. Rashid Khan got out on duck on very first ball he played of R Shapherd. The bowlers of Guyana bowled at accurate length and made it difficult for Barbados Tridents batsmen to score runs. Captain Holder also got out early on just 3 runs. Mitchell Santner and Nyeem Young scored most 18 runs each for Barbados Tridents. Barbados could score 89 runs only with the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 over. It was a very small target of 90 runs for Guyana Warriors to win the match. All the bowlers of Guyana bowled brilliantly but Imran Tahir and R Shepherd took 3 wickets each for Guyana Amazon Warriors. Imran Tahir took 3 wickets by giving just 12 runs in his 4 over. Captain Green also bowled brilliantly and took 1 wicket by giving 17 runs in his 4 over.

B King and C Hemraj opened the inning for Guyana Amazon Warriors. B King got out on very first ball of the inning to Mitchell Santner. Shimron Hetmyer made not out 32 runs in 33 balls and helped team to win the match. Nicholas Pooran also got out on duck to Raymon Reifer. Ross Taylor made not out partnership with Shimron Hetmyer and won the game for Guyana Amazon Warriors. Taylor made 16 runs. Guyana Warriors chased the target in 14.2 over and defeated the Barbados Tridents by 6 wickets.
