The 4th T20 match of the Big Bash League was played between Perth Scorchers and Renegades on 12 Dec 2020 in Blundstone Arena, Hobart. Scorchers won the toss and decided to bat first. Josh Inglis and Colin Munro came to open for Scorchers and Josh Lalor was given the ball.

Lalor did a nice job and took the wicket of Munro in the very first over. Munro did not make any runs and was sent back at the score of 5 runs. That was not a good start for Scorchers because they also lost their 2nd wicket in the very next over. Inglis was caught by Benny Howell in the mid-wicket field. Lalor, who took a wicket in his first over, also sent back J Clarke. Scorchers were struggling and needed a partnership. They lost 3 wickets at the score of just 19 runs. Then Turner and Marsh tried to build a partnership and a direct hit from Harper took the wicket of Turner. Turner played some good shots and made 24 runs from 16 balls. Aaron Hardie was the top scorer for Scorchers and made 33 runs from 36 balls.

Finally, Scorchers could make only 130 runs and lost all of their wickets. Renegades needed 131 runs to win from 120 balls. Richardson and Lalor bowled really well and both took 3 wickets for Renegades.

Shaun Marsh and Aaron Finch came to open for Renegades and they gave a good start. Both added 70 runs to the scoreboard for the first wicket partnership. Scorchers got the first wicket at the score of 70 runs but it did not help them much because Shaun Marsh on the other side was playing well and made 62 runs from 47 balls.

Renegades easily won the match by 7 wickets and 21 balls left. Josh Lalor was the Man of the Match. Lalor took 3 important wickets in the match and Shaun Marsh was the top scorer.
