The 45th match if IPL 2020 was played on 25th October where Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians faced each other. The match was played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. Mumbai team was captained by Kieron Pollard while Rajasthan team was led by Steve Smith. MI won the toss and chose to bat first.

Opening pair of Ishan Kishan and Quinton de Kock started the inning of Mumbai Indians but it was not a good start as de Kock got out in the 1st over only. Suryakumar Yadav joined Kishan to carry the inning ahead and both of them played some good shots which made the scoreboard run quickly. They made a partnership of 83 runs. In the 11th over Kishan got out at an individual score of 37 runs. Saurabh Tiwary joined the inning and played well with Yadav. In the 13th over Yadav also got out and hence the score of MI was 95/3. In the same over Captain of MI Keiron Pollard also got out and hence the score was restricted. However, Hardik Pandya showed his talent and played a magnificent inning of 60 runs which made the team in a commanding position. In the 19th over Tiwary also got out after making 34 runs. At the end of 20 overs MI made 195 runs at a loss of 5 wickets and set the task of 196 to RR. From RR Jofra Archer and Shreyas Gopal, each got 2 wickets.

To chase the score opening pair of Rajasthan Royals, Robin Uthappa and Ben Stokes came to pitch. Uthappa disappointed fans once again as he got out in the 2nd over after making 13 runs. Ben Stokes was joined by captain Steve Smith but in the 5th over he also lost his wicket. Sanju Samson joined Stokes and they both played classic inning where Samson also made 54 runs in 31 balls ony. They both played the MI bowlers across the ground and no bowler was able to stop the flow of runs created by both of these batsmen. RR won the match in 19th over only, leaving 8 balls spare. They won the match by 8 wickets. From MI James Pattinson was the only bowler who got wickets. He got 2 wickets.  Ben Stokes was awarded as the player of the match for his excellent winning of not out 107 runs which he made in 60 balls only.
