The 50th match of 2020 IPL was played between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals, where Rajasthan was captained by Steve Smith and Punjab was led by Lokesh Rahul. RR won the toss and chose to field first. The match was played on 30th October at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
Batting first Kings XI Punjab inning was initiated by Lokesh Rahul and Mandeep Singh, but the start of the inning was not good as Mandeep Singh got out in the first over without making any run. Chris Gayle joined Rahul to carry the inning ahead. They both played well and hit big shots that placed the team in a sound position. Gayle started slowly, but after a few balls, he displayed his form and completed his half-century.
