The 15th match of IPL 2020 was played between RCB and RR at Sheikh Zayed Stadium Dubai on 3rd October. RCB was captained by Virat Kohli while RR was led by Steve Smith. Smith had won the toss and decided to bat first.

From Rajasthan Royals, Steve Smith and Jos Buttler opened the inning. Team RR got first blow when it lost the first wicket in the 3rd over when Steve Smith got out at an individual score of 5 runs only. The team score was 27/1. In the very next over Buttler also got out and hence team was under pressure. In the 4th over, pressure mounted when Sanju Samson one of the most important players of the team lost his wicket in 5th over only. Robin Uthappa and Mahipal Lomror tried to play some big shots and move the score, but soon Uthappa also got out. Rahul Tevatia tried to move the score fast but could not do much. Jofra Archer also tried to play some big shots and move the score rapidly. From RR Lomror and Tevatia could do some better score against the accurate bowling attack from RCB bowlers. From RCB Yuzvendra Chahal bowled well and got 3 wickets in his spell of 4 overs. Isuru Udana also got 2 wickets. RR had given the target of 155 runs to RCB to win the match.

From Royal Challengers Bangalore, Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch opened the inning but in the 3rd over only Finch got out and hence the score of the team was 25/1. Virat Kohli joined Padikkal, and they both managed the inning well. Virat showed the power of his bat once again and proved why he is called a mighty captain. He played a captain inning and made 72 runs in 53 balls. In the 16th over Padikkal also got out but before that, he had made valuable 63 runs in 45 balls only. Hence the way of RCB towards victory was clean. RCB made score of 158 runs in 19.1 overs only, and hence it defeated Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets leaving 5 balls spare. Bowling attack of RR was not that much impactful, and hence they could get only 2 wickets. Yuzvendra Chahal was awarded as the player of the match for his excellent bowling performance where he gave only 24 runs in 4 overs and got 3 important wickets of RR.
