The 26th match of IPL 2020 was played on 11th October at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai. The match was between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. Captain of SRH David Warner won the toss and chose bat first.

To begin the inning of Sunrisers Hyderabad, David Warner and Jonny Bairstow opened but failed to offer a grand start as Bairstow got out early. In the 5th over, the score of SRH was 23/1. Warner added some valuable runs with Manish Pandey, and they made a partnership of 73 runs. Warner made 48 runs while Pandey completed his half-century. Kane Williamson and Priyam Garg also added good runs to make the team reach at the score of 158. At the end of 20 overs, the score of SRH was 158/4, and hence RR required to make 159 to win the match. From Rajasthan Royals, Jofra Archer, Kartik Tyagi, and Jaydev Unadkat got 1 wicket each. Bowlers from RR bowled at the right length, and hence the score of SRH was restricted.

In the second inning, Ben Stokes and Joss Buttler started the inning of Rajasthan Royals. In the second over only, Rajasthan lost their first wicket in the form of Ben Stokes. In the 4th over, Captain Steve Smith also lost his wicket, and hence the score of the team was 25/2. In the 5th over, Buttler also got out, and Robin Uthappa lost his wicket in the 10th over. It was looking difficult for RR to reach the target as they were frequently losing a wicket. In 12th over, Sanju Samson also got out. The inning was in the hands of young batsmen Riyan Parag and Rahul Tevatia, who played par excellence. They both played almost all types of shots across the ground and hit big shots to spinners as well as pacers. Riyan Parag made 42 run in 26 balls while Rahul Tewatia made 45 runs in 28 balls. Hence RR won the match by 5 wickets with 1 ball spare. From SRH, Khaleel Ahmed and Rashid Khan were the most successful bowlers who both got 2 wickets each.

Rahul Tewatia was declared as the man of the match for his excellent performance. He made not out 45 runs in only 28 balls at the time when the team needed them most. Though SRH did well in the match, the bowlers seem helpless against the attack from RR batsmen, which lead the team to lose a match, which was almost won.
