It was the 56th and last match of league round for IPL 2020. It was played on 4th November at Sharjah Cricket Stadium between Hyderabad and Mumbai. Team Mumbai was captained by Rohit Sharma while Hyderabad was led by David Warner. SRH won the toss and chose to field first.

Batting first the inning from Mumbai was started by Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock, but it was not a good start as Sharma got out in the 3rd over only. Hence for MI, it was a big jolt. However, it did not end there as the fall of the wicket was regular. In the fifth over de Kock also got out at an individual score of 25 runs. Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav played well but in the 12th over game changed when Yadav got out. In the same over Krunal Pandya also returned to the pavilion without scoring any run. In the very next over Saurabh Tiwary also got out at a personal score of 1 run. Kieron Pollard and Kishan played some good shots but in the 17th over Kishan got out and 18th over Nathan Coulter-Nile also returned to the pavilion. However, the big man Kieron Pollard played a good inning and hit some big strokes to make quick runs. His grand inning only made MI set a good score for SRH. At the end of 20 overs, MI could make 149 runs at a loss of 8 wickets. Hence the target for SRH was 150 in 20 overs. From SRH Sandeep Sharma was the most successful bowler who got 3 wickets. Jason Holder and Shahbaz Nadeem also got 2 wickets each.

From Sunrisers the inning was started by David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha. They played quality shots across the ground, and both completed their half-centuries also. Against these both batsmen, the bowling attack from MI was completely edgeless as none of the bowlers could take a wicket. In the 17.1 over only, Warner and Saha chased the target of 150 runs successfully. Warner made not out 85 runs in 58 balls while Saha made not out 58 runs in 45 balls. SRH won the match by 10 wickets leaving 17 balls spared. Shabaz Nadeem from SRH was declared the player of the match for his 2/19 in the spell of 4 overs. With this winning, team SRH got qualified for the playoff round throwing KKR out of the tournament.
