Splendid Record bowling performance from Binny saves the day for India - After taking a lead in the first match of the three One Day match series India were looking to win the second win to complete a series win. After winning the toss the home side decided to field first so as to use the conditions well. The rain was forecasted for the match and hence batting second is always an advantage. Bangladesh got their first success in the form of Ajinkya Rahane in the very first over of the match. In the fifth over of the game the rain came pouring down with Robin Uthappa and Cheteshwar Pujara on crease. The rain eventually stopped but it took away 9 overs a side from the game. Bangladesh got their second success soon as the debutant Taskin Ahmed took the wicket of man in form Uthappa. What followed was nothing less than a dream debut for any player as Taskin Ahmed never stopped taking wickets as he registered a five wicket haul in the very first match of his carrier. India was restricted to a total of just 105 in 25.3 over. Suresh Raina was the top scorer in the team as he managed to score 27 runs.

Chasing this target in 41 overs was a piece of cake for any team. Mohit Sharma took both the openers pretty early leaving the home side at a score of 13 for the loss of 2 wickets. There was a partnership building between Mithun Ali and Mushfiqur Rahim when Stuart Binny came into bowl. He successfully took Rahim in his over. What followed was a disastrous downfall as from 44 for 3 the home team was all out in a score of 58. Stuart Binny was the magic man for team India as he took 6 wickets in the match giving away just 4 runs. India won this low scoring match by 47 runs. Stuart Binny was named the man of the match for his outstanding bowling performance. India now leads the series by 2-0. In this match Stuart Binny broke Anil Kumble's 21-year-old record i.e the best ODI bowling figure by an Indian bowlder. Previously it was 6/12 by Anil Kumble in 1993 against West Indies at Eden Gardens Kolkata.
