Young Indian Team wins their first match in Bangladesh - After the Success of Indian players in the Indian Premier League a young side with some new faces played their first match in Bangladesh. In the first One Day International of the series team India played a team which had some new faces and a new captain Suresh Raina. It was a game which saw the comeback of Robin Uthhapa. He after having a great domestic season got a chance to make a comeback and he made it in style. He along with Ajinkya Rahane guided the team home while chasing the target of 272. Both the openers gave the team a great start as both completed their half centuries before losing their wicket. Robin scored 50 off just 44 balls and was first to depart. In 16 overs both the batsmen managed to score 99 runs and at that time the team was cruising to the target. But as Robin departed in came the rain to spoil the sport. As the rain subsided the target was reset to a mere 150 in 26 overs. Then later Rahane too completed his half century and India won the match by 7 wickets. 

Batting first Bangladesh managed to score 272 runs against a new balling attack. The Indian Pacer Umesh Yadav managed to take three wickets for the team while later Parvez Rasool and Amit Mishra managed to scalp two wickets each. From Bangladesh It were Shakib Al Hassan and Mushfiqur Rahim who top scored. They both completed their half centuries while the top order batsman Anamul Haque and lower order batsman Mahamudullah both helped the cause. With a great batting effort the team managed to post a score of 272 on board which never seemed enough in front of a strong batting line up. Ajinkya Rahane won the Man of the Match award for his batting display and India now leads the three match series by 1-0.
