At last KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS got their much needed win at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi as they defeated DELHI DAREDEVILS by 8 wickets. Earlier in the game Delhi has won the toss and elected to bat first. Yet again DD started their innings quite poorly as they lost some early wickets of Quinton de Kock (10 of 9 balls) and Murali Vijay (24 of 20 balls). Kevin Pietersen (C) failed to produce his class of performance when DD needed him the most, He went early because of a irresponsible running as he was run out by Robin Uthappa. After those early blows Dinesh Kartik tried to produce some quick fire as he scored 36 runs of 22 balls. Well, in the slog overs JP Duminy and Kedar Jadhav yet again smashed all over the ground to reach the score of 160 runs in their allotted 20 overs. JP and Kedar scored 40 of 28 balls and 26 of 15 balls respectively.

Shakib Al Hasan bowled a extraordinary spell as he conceded only 13 runs in his limited 4 overs and claimed the most important wicket of Dinesh Kartik. However, among the bowlers of KKR Jacques Kallis, Umesh Yadav and Sunil Narine shared 3 wickets equally.

While, chasing a fighting total of 161 runs in a ground like Feroz Shah Kotla KKR started their innings steadily as Gautam Gambhir (C) played a captain’s knock as he scored the most valuable 69 runs of just 56 balls and Robin Uthappa (W) supported him well with a 34-ball 47 knock. Well, the rest of the job was done by Manish Pandey* (23 of 14 balls) and Jacques Kallis (10 of 6 balls) and KKR reach the target of 161 runs comfortably. Well, Wayne Parnell as a bowler showed some class against KKR as he took the only 2 wickets by just considering 21 runs.

That’s it, the Man of the Match award was given to Gautam Gambhir as he played a brilliant innings and got back some sort of his form which needed the most in this difficult time of KKR.
