MUMBAI INDIANS lost 5 matches in row, as they were comfortably defeated by 15 runs against SUNRISERS HYDERABAD in the 20th math of IPL 7, which had been played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.

The MI skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to field first. However, David Warner (65 runs of 51 balls) and Lokesh Rahul (46 of 40 balls) helped SRH to put up a quite a high score of 172 runs on their board by just loosing 5 wickets. Anyway, early in the innings SRH started it poorly, they lost the early wickets of Aaron Finch (16 of 15 balls) and the skipper Shikhar Dhawan (6 of 6 balls) because of the brilliant performance of Zaheer Khan. But Warner and Rahul healed that early blow and took SRH to a commanding total. Lasith Malinga and Zaheer Khan yet again gave a decent performance but that wasn’t enough as they didn’t get any support from other bowlers. Corey Anderson bowled just one over and took 2 wickets by considering 18 runs in that over. However, Malinga and Zaheer took 1 and 2 wickets respectively.

While chasing a very competitive score in a low scoring ground like Dubai International Cricket Stadium, MI did not start their innings well as Dale Steyn and Bhubaneswar Kumar just cleared up the top order of MI. Rohit Sharma and the big catch for MI Corey Anderson gone early by just scoring 1 run each. Well, Ambati Rayudu (35 of 27 balls) showed some potential in the middle order. After that the audience of Dubai International Cricket Stadium experienced a pollard storm as Kieron Pollard scored 78 runs of 48 balls, but he was shown the pavilion by Irrfan Pathan with a brilliant delivery. Well, all other batsman of MI failed to took the team to the winning score. Dale Steyn, Bhubaneswar Kumar and Irrfan Pathan gave a brilliant performance as they shared 2 wickets each and gave SRH a victory of 15 runs.

Bhubaneswar Kumar was chosen as the Man of the Match for this game due to his outstanding bowling figure of 4-0-17-2. It was a good game of cricket, but it pushed MI team a deep trouble in the tournament.
